Season 1 Episode I. Food Security: Farm to Plate

We all have our favorite dishes of chakula. From githeri to mursik to nyama choma, or pilau, our different food cultures are important. They are part of our identity. Unfortunately, more than 10 million Kenyans do not have the ability to enjoy their favorite dishes. Yet, Article 43 of the Kenyan constitution stipulates that every Kenyan has a right to be free from hunger, and to have adequate food of acceptable quality.

We’re joined by the Route to Food Initiative team: Layla Liebetrau, Project lead, Emmanuel Atamba, Research and Policy Analyst and Evelyne Ogutu, Brand and Media Coordinator to talk about food security, right to food and solutions in Kenya.
